Meet Kate
I am a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with nearly two decades of experience in veterinary medicine. I began my career in 2007 as a kennel technician and have worked my way through every role within the veterinary hospital, giving me a comprehensive understanding of patient care and hospital operations.
My professional background is rooted in emergency and specialty medicine, with extensive experience in surgery, internal medicine, critical care, and oncology. I am especially passionate about trauma cases, client education, and working with patients who have special behavioral needs. I strive to provide compassionate, low-stress care while helping clients feel informed and supported throughout their pet's treatment.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Ecology in 2012, followed by my Veterinary Technology degree and licensure in 2014. I am also a Fear Free Certified Professional and RECOVER Initiative Certified Rescuer, reflecting my commitment to advancing patient welfare through evidence-based, compassionate veterinary care. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and to providing the highest standard of care for every patient and family I have the privilege to serve.
When I'm not at the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my two amazing children and my lively household of two dogs, five cats, and thirteen tarantulas. Whether I'm relaxing at the beach, enjoying the outdoors, or staying active at the gym, I value making the most of my time outside of work with both my family and my animals.
