One shining example of this occurred on Christmas Eve when our team demonstrated the true meaning of compassion and teamwork under the most challenging of circumstances.
Just 15 minutes before closing, a new client rushed in with a critically injured dog, suffering from a spinal cord injury after playing with his housemate. The patient was in respiratory distress and unable to walk. Despite the late hour and the holiday timing, Dr. Pacheco, along with our dedicated veterinary technicians, Crystal and Liberty, didn't hesitate. They immediately jumped into action, providing life-saving care, stabilizing the patient, and managing his pain.
Through their quick thinking, skillful care, and unwavering dedication, our team was able to stabilize the patient and prepare him for transfer to a nearby emergency hospital. The entire process, from arrival to transfer, was a testament to the power of collaboration, professionalism, and the "Yes culture" that drives everything we do here at Animal Care Extraordinaire.
